These are the badlands, so-named because they are bad lands! Mountains for miles around are formed of this dry cracked multi-colored earth. |

There is precious little rainfall in this region, but it doesn't take much to dissolve the badlands. Even the slightest rainfall erodes the hills enough to reveal a stunning abundance of petrified logs! |
